Halloween at Crowhurst

With all the building work it was a gamble whether we hosted our All Hallows’ Eve or not. We stepped out in hope and were lucky enough to have exactly the right number of people to fill all the seats for our service of the light. The church looked great with all the pumkin lanterns so kindly carved by so many people. Fr Michael talked about St Columba’s defeat of the Loch Ness monster before sprinkling everyone, to the enthusiasm of the children, with the blessed water from the font. It was then back to the hall for fireworks, the bonfire and refreshments. The money collected was going to the smile train charity.
