St George's Stitchers

We meet on Monday evenings, 7pm to 9pm, during term time, in the Parish room. We enjoy all aspects of stitching, knitting, crochet and sewing and help and advise each other as needed.

Usually we work on our individual projects, but sometimes we work together to produce something special. Last year, we were asked by Father Michael to make a banner for the church, which could be used in processions and celebrations. The banner is displayed in the church near the altar. We also made a set of fabric poppies which are put in place for Remembrance Sunday.

If you would like to learn how to sew, knit or crochet, improve your skills or just join us with your current projects, you will be very welcome. There is a small charge to cover the rent of the room.
